STAGE # 3

These groups are the third stage of our comprehensive Junior Tennis Pathway.

The Green and Yellow groups have an emphasis on commitment. Players are expected to train, practice and compete regularly. Players, parents and coaches work together to plan training and competition schedules.

The Red and Orange Performance groups, while less intensive than the Green and Yellow groups, aim to push our most able and enthusiastic young players to a higher level.

RED PERFORMANCE

AGES 5 - 7

At this level we begin to encourage players to understand that they have some ability and that they should try to make the most of this during their lessons (all done in a fun way of course).
The main focus of the group is to teach players how to master the mini court. The kids (who can already rally) are introduced to basic tactics: learning how to rally consistently, understanding depth and hitting cross-court, etc.
We recommend that these players start to play Hot Shot Challenge tournaments and/or Red Ball Matchplay.

ORANGE PERFORMANCE

 AGES 8 - 10

Orange Performance players have typically decided that tennis is one of their favourite sports and are willing to commit more time and practice to becoming better. To reflect this, we have a comprehensive program that includes an introduction to strength and conditioning (own body-weight), technical and tactical training and an introduction to mental skills. The programme also teaches players how to track their practice and tournaments.
Maximum of 6 students per coach.

GREEN PERFORMANCE

AGES 9+

Most of the players in Green Performance have decided that tennis is their no. 1 sport and they are committed to practising and playing tournaments.
The program is comprehensive, covering all aspects of tennis performance including goal setting, tournament planning, strength and conditioning training, technical and tactical training and mental skills.
Maximum of 6 students per coach.

YELLOW PERFORMANCE

AGES  9 - 16

This comprehensive program for dedicated players covers all aspects of tennis performance including goal setting, tournament planning, strength and conditioning training, technical and tactical training and mental skills.
Maximum of 5 students per coach.
